People Who Foster

by Katie Wright |

As an approved foster carer with People Who Foster there are various sources of ongoing support available to you.

The most important person will be your allocated supervising social worker who is there to provide ongoing support to you and your family. Your supervising social worker will maintain regular contact with you to discuss any concerns you have, provide you with regular supervision, and arrange any training you need to support the child placed in your care and provide support during meetings arranged for the looked after child.

People Who Foster provide 24-hour support to our approved carers via our out-of-hours service.
Our foster carers are able to access support groups which are facilitated by our supervising social workers and provide foster carers the opportunity to share their experiences and obtain peer support

All our approved foster carers are able to access independent support from and have membership with Foster Talk.
